Our Story
In September 1961, Harry and Lillian Zimmer opened a print shop in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. They named it Bethel Park Printing and Publishing Co., becoming a recognized presence in their community, focusing on their customers’ needs.
Harry had the printing expertise derived from his family’s printing company located in Monongahela, Pennsylvania dating back to the late 1800’s. That’s quite a history! Lillian had the business expertise and was a perfect fit to run the operational side. While growing the business, Harry and Lillian also began growing their family who became a natural fit to become part of the business. It was considered a real family affair when they all helped in the printing and collation of local football programs that needed to be ready each week for the Friday night games for the local school.
Bethel Park Printing progressed from letterpress printing (movable type) when printing proofs were mailed or shown to the customers in person (talk about smelling the roses), to our current digital presses where proofs are now emailed and digitally printed — saving lots of time.
The Zimmer family always made a point to evolve with the progression of the printing industry. We have been through quite a transition over the 60+ years, and are still growing!
Satisfaction to customers has always been our number one priority!
